Overview

About the Software

3psLCCA is a desktop application for evaluating the life cycle cost of bridges across the initial, use, and end-of-life stages. It accounts for a comprehensive range of costs, including construction, inspection, maintenance, traffic disruptions, demolition, recycling, and other associated costs. The software is based on the 3PS-LCC (Three Pillars of Sustainability Life Cycle Cost Assessment) framework as explained in Pajgade et al. (2025) which integrates these costs into a single monetary metric while capturing the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainability throughout the bridge life cycle.

Goal
One metric, three pillars

Evaluate bridge design alternatives by integrating economic, environmental, and social impacts into a single monetary life cycle cost.

Audience
Built for stakeholders

Different stakeholders, including project planners, government authorities, designers, and researchers, who seek long-term, sustainable bridge solutions.

Problem
Fragmented assessment

Existing methods and tools typically assess individual sustainability pillars separately, making holistic bridge evaluation difficult. The 3PS-LCC framework unifies all three pillars across the bridge life cycle.

Difference
Submission-ready reports

Generate professional, detailed reports with results, assumptions, tables, figures, and key analysis outputs - ready for documentation, review, and submission.
